Angel Film Awards - Monaco International Film Festival – announced their winners at a gala evening reception at the Art Novo Cinema Space – at the Novotel Monte Carlo December 6th  
This year’s theme for the Monaco Angel Film Awards was to honor the female film maker and screenplay writer from all over the globe who participated in the event.
The Angel Film Awards - Monaco International Film Festival the only film festival in the world to use the power of film to promote Global Peace, Cultural Harmony, and Entertainment Unity.
According to Rosana Golden & Dean Bentley the founders & director, producer of the AFA MIFF ‘The Film industry is the greatest venue to foster peace in the Global Community while nurturing our body, minds and spirits with uplifting imagery.


The AFA-MIFF is also known as international springboard for up and coming talent in film, music and the arts from across the globe.
The Angel Film Awards Team works passionately to help worthy productions gain the publicity and recognition they deserve.

2018 Feature Film - Winning Categories:
World Premiere "SMILES LEADING TO HAPPINESS" Love Story/Drama (Japan) picked up the coveted ANGEL TROPHY AWARD FOR THE FILM THAT BEST EXPRESSES THE SPIRIT OF THE FESTIVAL for Best Feature Film & Best Supporting Actor went to Mr. TANKOBO
The Japanese World Premiere drama “GOLDEN LAND” scooped 5 awards including the Best Director HIROSHI TODA; Best Cinematographer: GUILLAUME TAUVERON; Best Ensemble Cast: YOICHI HAYASHI; KAZUKI HASEGAWA; KINMOCHI YUMISAWA; SHYOJI YAMADA; SHINSUKE IKEWAKI; Best Script & Best Film Editing by HIROSHI TODA
The Angel Peace Award was awarded to the feature documentary ‘THE DEVOTED’ Poland
World Premiere Japan “TOKYO 24” winning 5 awards: Best Male Actor YUMA TERANISHI & Best Female Actor NAOMI HASE; Best Female Supporting Actor MAI HAKASE; Best Producer: KAZUHIRO TERANISHI & Best Costume Design
Canadian Documentary “THE TRUE NORTH” scooped 3 awards Best Feature Documentary; Best Original Music; and the Best Humanitarian Angel Film Award: HAL EAGLETAIL “THE TRUE NORTH” (CANADA)
Best Newcomer Feature film went to the 16 year old Italian actor GIACOMO ANELLI “CLUB OF 24” (ITALY); and winner for Best Feature Documentary Cinematographer: ANDREA MAGUOLO & FABIO RICCI
The Independent Spirit Award – awarded to the Japanese Feature Film “RUN THROUGH RAINBOW BRIDGES”
Short Film - Winning Categories:
The UK drama suspense ‘MEA CULPA’ wins Best Short Film, Best Male Actor: PAUL DEWDNEY; Best Female Supporting Actor: LEONIE ZEUMER
Four awards went to the US Comedy “A LATE SEPARATION” Best Ensemble Cast: ED YOU; JANET WOOD; JOEY BOTHWELL; STEPHANIE CARNES; Best Producer: GERALD WADDELL & Best Film Editing: ALEX TSAGAMILIS
Best Female Actor: RACHEL EIREANN “IT’S TIME” (UK) & Best Independent Spirit Award. Best Original Story went to “SOLDIERS WITH NO NAME” (UK)
The Iranian short film “THE CASTLE” won 3 awards Best Director went to SABA GHASEMI & Best Short Film Script; Best Male Supporting Actor: ARMIN SAYYAD
3 wins for the KAZAKHSTANIAN short film “SU” (WATER) for Best Arthouse Film Award; Best Original Music: ROBERT ZIGANSHIN; Best Costume Design:  AIZHAN KASSYMBEK
